My First Bible with Large Letters for Initial Reading

This book is a complement to "The Orthodox Primer" by Nadezhda Zhukova! If your child has already learned to read using Nadezhda Zhukova's Primer, then a logical continuation of consolidating reading skills will be this book. It is designed specifically for children whose parents want to raise them as true Christians. The book is recommended for teaching by the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church, and can be used in classes at Orthodox gymnasiums and for home reading. Since the full text of the Bible is too complex for children's perception, we suggest that parents read specially selected and adapted first biblical stories together with their child. The book contains 34 stories, set in large print and written in simple language, which can easily be understood by a child who has mastered reading. Each story ends with questions – thus, what has been read will be better remembered, and reading will become more meaningful. With the help of one book, a child can consolidate reading skills and learn the basics of Orthodox culture.
