K-punk

Emerging in the era of the early internet, in 2003, the k-punk blog of British music critic and cultural theorist Mark Fisher (1968–2017) became a landmark cultural space of global modernity. From Fisher's vast archive, including unpublished works, we have... selected essays, internet posts, and interviews that address the universal feelings of uselessness, depression, impossibility, and at the same time a burning desire for fundamental change, along with the pop culture that accompanies these feelings. In his vivid and emotional analysis, Fisher combines everyday life with the high humanities, music, cinema, and internet debates with existential questions, testing all of this against a punk worldview that refuses to accept what is as a given and immutable truth.
