Myasms. A Treatise on the Resistance of Materials

It all started when Sarban, the priest of the city of Alrauna, found a charred man on the steps of his church. No one knew how the stranger got there and what had happened to him, as there was no... sign of fire, but the unfortunate man survived, albeit losing his speech. Sarban took him in like a son, and everything around began to change gradually. People started to notice rat-like beings appearing here and there, well-dressed and dignified, then some residents began to be visited at night by a sinister man with the head of a horse, while local teenage girls were struck by a sleeping sickness from which they could not awaken, despite the efforts of doctors. The city is engulfed in fear, the boundaries between worlds are thinning, and soon an era of terrible wonders will come, where anything is possible, and People and non-People will mix in the final battle at Alrauna.
