Congratulations on your employment at Cosmoburo! Your resume made a huge impression on the management of the intergalactic company, so it was decided to immediately appoint you to the position of captain. You will even be issued your own spacecraft:...
a modular universal long-range astronomical ship, class 1. This is not a falling-apart corporate shuttle delivering asteroid cola and "Ares" bars. Our corporation has high hopes for you! We believe that with your help, the company will acquire many new trading offices across the Universe. So forward! Traverse the galaxy up and down, explore new planets, and open new kiosks selling pest control products and evil robots!About the Game"Cosmoburo" is an exciting board game set in outer space. You will take on the role of a starship captain and embark on an exciting adventure through hyperspace wormholes. Your main goal will be to collect the maximum amount of credits, and possibly receive a grand reward from Cosmoburo!During the game, you will explore the vast expanses of a tiny Universe: discovering uncharted planets, delivering representatives of various commercial structures to them, establishing offices of space corporations, and collecting unique samples of local goods. Work hard, and then, maybe someday, perhaps with some probability, but we do not guarantee it, you will become the most celebrated captain the galaxy has ever known! How to Play?
Assemble a small Universe from four starting space tokens. Next to it, place the bureau board, double-sided credit tokens, and a stock of sample tokens. Take agent tokens, place them in a bag, and draw 3 random ones – they are placed to the right of the bureau track and form the agent queue. Each player receives their spaceship board, fuel tokens, a ship token, 5 office tokens, and 3 starting trading agents. We will skip further details of the setup and get to the essence.A player's turn is divided into 3 successive phases:Agent Placement
Action Execution
Stock Replenishment
In the first phase, you place an agent from your reserve into an empty compartment on the ship board. Agent tokens have between 2 to 3 contacts on the edges, and there is also a special inspector token: one side has 1 contact, and the other has 4. When placing, you can rotate the token in any way, and it is not necessary to extend all contacts, just one is enough. Each compartment shows actions that you can take during your turn by covering them. This can include getting fuel, acquiring a sample, increasing warehouse capacity (to store more samples), placing an office on a planet, moving your token along the bureau track, or taking flight. The last action allows you to fly from one planet to another, and for that, you need fuel. To refill, you must perform the corresponding action and pay for it, and for that, you need samples. To obtain samples, you must perform the corresponding action.Remember, your goal is to earn credits. And they can be earned in large quantities by placing offices. But alas: an office can only be placed on an empty planet where there are none yet. Late? Fly further. The tank is empty? Sell samples. By the way, the more samples you have in the hold of your ship, the less fuel you will be able to take on, keep that in mind. You will have to run around the bureau offices, signing various papers, reports, and receiving bonuses that will give you credits. Oh, this bureaucracyIn the last phase, you choose one of the three agents in the queue from the bureau board, take it into your reserve and lay out a new one from the bag. Congratulations, you are a magnificent captain and your turn is over!Who Won?
If you need to replenish the queue of trading agents but cannot do so because there are no tokens left in the bag, all players get one last turn, and then the game ends.During the game, you earned credits by opening your offices on various planets and receiving bonuses from the bureau. The number of credits you earned is noted on the credit track located on the game board – these are your victory points. At the end of the game, add 6 credits for each set of three different samples to the credits you have already earned. The captain who has earned the most credits is awarded the title of the best employee of Cosmoburo and declared the winner! Game Duration: from 60 minutesNumber of Players: from 1 to 4
