The Norths possess immense wealth and occupy key positions, and when one of the clones is found dead in Newcastle, a real scandal erupts. In addition to the motive, the method of murder appears mysterious - the victim's heart was ripped out with some kind of five-bladed weapon. The circumstances of the death strikingly resemble another case several years ago on the planet Cent-Libra, when another North was killed in a mass slaughter. Angela Tramello was accused of the crime, but the woman sentenced to life in prison swore her innocence and claimed that an alien monster attacked her home.
