Dorian Gray —... a young man with an attractive appearance, becomes the muse of artist Basil Hallward. One day, Basil introduces Dorian to Lord Henry Wotton, whose hedonistic views have a strong influence on the young man. The young aristocrat begins to contemplate the transience of youth and beauty. The portrait, painted by Basil, presents itself to Dorian as a symbol of eternal youth. The text of the work is shortened and adapted for the B1 level.
