Until the mid-20th century, almost all books on typography published in the USSR borrowed texts and illustrations from Kolomnin.
A significant part of the book is devoted to manual typesetting; nevertheless, the publication from beginning to end can be recommended as a reference and informative reading for any contemporary designer, typographer, and editor.
