The gods have turned away from Rome. Carthage, flooded with Roman troops and the army of the senate that betrayed Hannibal, is once again surrounded. Retribution is unavoidable. Fedor Chayka secretly infiltrates the vast city with a handful of warriors to rescue his wife from captivity, held by her own father — Senator Mark Claudius Marcellus. For this, Fedor raises a rebellion. At the same time, at his signal, the loyal troops of Hannibal begin the assault, and soon the battle engulfs the entire city. Cleansing fire consumes the defiled capital of the Punics, block by block. The Romans, along with the traitors, flee in terror from Carthage on their ships. Despite the pursuit, Marcellus manages to escape with the captives. The fugitive senator has hidden in Rome, but its solid walls will save no one. The liberation has begun. And now Rome is surrounded on all sides by hordes of Celts and Scythian cavalry. Archimedes' siege engines methodically demolish walls, bridges, and aqueducts. They set the land ablaze. Deadly fire devours everything in its path. Roman temples burn. Birds with scorched wings fall from the sky. Mad people dart through the ruined streets, but there is no salvation for them.
