Return to Auschwitz-Birkenau

In March 1944, 19-year-old Ginette Kolinka was deported to the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp with her father, younger brother, and nephew.

She became the only one from her family to return. Long after the end of World War II, and despite such a traumatizing, often incomprehensible experience for an ordinary person, Ginette found the strength to truthfully and candidly share what she saw and endured.
