The Chimes

We present to the readers the novella of the classic of English and world literature C. Dickens "The Chimes". The postman Toby Veck and his beautiful daughter live in poverty but happily. They both love to listen to the ringing... of the bells from the nearby church. The father distinguishes the "voices" of all the bells. One New Year's Eve, when his daughter was preparing for her wedding, he thought that the bells were ringing incorrectly... The original text is accompanied by comments and a dictionary.
