On the eve of Christmas, an excited old woman knocks on the door of the forester's children, Tyltyl and Mytyl, and asks for help. At first, the kids do not recognize her as a fairy - everything changes when the guest gives them an unusual cap that transforms the world and reveals its wonders. But how can the children help the sorceress, and what role does the Blue Bird play in this story?
