The reader will learn about the journeys of Semyon Dezhnev, Vitus Bering, and Alexei Chirikov, about the heroes of the Great Northern Expedition, about the voyages of Fyodor Litke, and the polar research of Otto Schmidt, Ivan Papanin, and Mikhail Somov.
