Is it possible to go against fate? The celestial being Dong Hua, whose fame echoes around the world, an eternal recluse whose visage appears only in paintings, and Bai Fengjiu, a nine-tailed fox from the lands where flowers bloom under the sun's rays. Years go by, hundreds, thousands of years, but only one thing remains unchanged — love. They face battles, fierce clashes between the right and the wrong, truth and falsehood, reality… and dreams. They will have to endure birth and death, separation from a beloved and meeting with an enemy. The ghosts of a long-forgotten past do not give up, and the shine of blood will long be visible on the cold steel of the blade. But only by hardening through adversity will the wounded soul find peace. Dong Hua and Bai Fengjiu will go through many trials, but will they be able to prove their right to happiness? For their opponent is Fate itself
