Sand Castle

Three families and a refugee find themselves at the same time in a beautiful secluded cove, surrounded by bush-covered cliffs.  However, the idyllic picture is shattered by two mysterious events: the sea washes ashore the corpse of a woman, and... everyone gathered on the beach begins to age inexorably…  In this unsettling fantasy book, Frédéric Peters and Pierre Oscar Lévy speak to the reader about the fear of aging and the inevitability of death. 
"Sand Castle" was awarded the Töpffer Prize (2010) and nominated for the International Comic Festival prize in Angoulême (2011). The plot of the book was adapted into the film "Old" by M. Night Shyamalan (2021).
