Sparring Partners

In the novella "Homecoming," the reader finds themselves once again in Ford County, in the office of lawyer Jake Brigance. Three years ago, his friend, lawyer Mac Stafford, went missing. Since he divorced his wife before disappearing, left her a large sum of cash, and filed for bankruptcy, locals suspect that Mac embezzled client money and ran away. However, the brothers genuinely hate each other, and when the future of the firm is under threat, only one person can save the business from collapse. But is he ready to sacrifice everything when his own life is at stake?
