Adventures in the Old World - WFRP4. Night of Blood (supplement)

Your heroes' journey is going smoothly, but by the end of the day they find themselves in a terrible storm, their clothes drenched, and the hurricane winds knock them off their feet. They urgently need to find shelter, but you are far from populated areas, surrounded by the dark woods of the Empire, full of dreadful creatures. The sky has nearly darkened with clouds, and the feeble rays of sunlight breaking through barely illuminate the wild landscapes around the travelers. In such weather, it would be nice to sit in a chair by the fireplace, leisurely sipping your favorite drink – but your heroes are far from this idyllic scene and, trying to shout over the claps of thunder, wonder where to seek refuge. And in the distance, the dreadful howl of an unknown monster can already be heard. 

The world of Fantasy Warhammer is a dark and dangerous place, where travel is perilous, for around every bend in the road may hide an ambush, an enemy army, the forces of Chaos, or something even worse…

An Unexpected Stop. 

“WFRP4: Night of Blood” is an adventure for “Warhammer Fantasy RolePlay 4,” in which your group of travelers is caught in a storm in the middle of the road. In a city, one can simply take shelter in a building during a storm, but out on the road, it’s quite different. 

Firstly, you are soaked to the skin, and there is no way to dry off your clothes. Secondly, the bad weather has made the road impassable, making it also impossible to reach shelter quickly. Finally, you find yourselves in the middle of the Empire under the cover of darkness, where all sorts of creatures and monsters roam in the shadows, encounters with which you would like to avoid at all costs.

What awaits the travelers? 

The adventure included in the booklet “WFRP4: Night of Blood” was created back in 1987, and has since been played by many Warhammer fans around the world. The adventure is designed for novice players, but even experienced masters and adventurers can glean much from it.

Players can incorporate the “WFRP4: Night of Blood” adventure into the story of their current campaign – after all, there is always somewhere to travel, and in any journey, something can go wrong – or play it as a standalone adventure, which will provide you with plenty of vivid impressions and your characters with dark memories.
