The monograph is dedicated to the institution of evidence assessment in English civil procedure. The work examines the development of theoretical concepts about evidence assessment, reveals the impact of past and ongoing reforms in England on the principles and criteria... of assessment, discusses the peculiarities of assessing specific types of evidence, and establishes the content and significance of the standards of proof applied in the administration of justice in English courts. Based on the results obtained, scientifically grounded proposals for improving Russian civil and arbitration legislation have been developed.
