The Seika School was once an all-boys school. Recently, it became a co-educational school, but boys still make up the majority there. Misaki Ayuzawa (usually just called “Misa”) is one of the students at this school. She has managed to... become the chairperson of the student council and now puts in all her efforts to protect the few girls from the bullying boys and to improve the school's image to make it more attractive to incoming students.
Among the other boys in the school is Usui Takumi. He is very popular among girls, and they regularly confess their love to him. But he remains indifferent to these confessions, which also irritates Misa, as she believes he hurts them by doing so.
However, Misa has one secret. For financial reasons, she has to work as a waitress in a cafe where the staff is dressed as maids. Naturally, she doesn’t want anyone at school to find out about this. But one day, Usui walked into that cafe. He didn't tell anyone about what he saw, but after that, he began to regularly visit that cafe.
