Seika School was once an all-boys school. Recently, it became a co-educational institution, but boys still make up the majority. Misaki Ayuzawa (usually referred to simply as "Misa") is one of the students at this school. She has managed to... become the president of the student council and now does her best to protect the few girls from the bullying boys while trying to improve the school's image to make it more appealing to incoming students.
Among the other boys at the school is Usui Takumi. He is very popular with girls, and they regularly confess their love to him. But he remains indifferent to these confessions, which also irritates Misa, as she feels that this hurts them.
However, Misa has one secret. For financial reasons, she has to work as a waitress in a café where the staff is dressed as maids. Naturally, she doesn't want anyone at school to find out about it. But one day, Usui walked into this café. He didn't tell anyone about what he saw, but after that, he began to visit the café regularly.
