Once upon a time, true heroes disappeared. Exploring dungeons turned into a daily routine for toothless thugs and illiterate scoundrels, who roamed the lands of Middle-earth trying to earn a loaf of bread, pay off debts... or enjoy another round... in the local tavern.
Some of these adventurers managed to live quite long, become mighty warriors, and gain fame, glory, and honor. But far more were those who were less fortunate. They fought. They were beaten. They fought harder. They were stomped into the dust even more. All that remained of them were corpses, adding flair to the chambers of the Dark Lord... but not solving the problem with the dungeons.
Over time, new deadly halls appeared in the dungeons, filled with vile creatures that sow chaos in our lands and threaten villages and kingdoms. For those who dream of becoming — or at least pretending to be — mighty fighters, the time has come to set aside beer mugs and take on the role of... dungeon heroes!
«Dungeon Heroes» is a cooperative game full of adventures and humor, focused on dexterity. You take on the roles of self-proclaimed heroes acting as a united squad. Your journey leads through the dungeon: you must explore its numerous halls and confront endless hordes of malicious monsters, rolling dice in sophisticated ways.
The battle-hardened squad of almost-heroes will need the right combination of skill and courage to overcome the dangers of the dungeon and defeat the boss. Will you manage? Will you achieve glory... or will you flaunt empty vanity?
Your goal is to storm into the dungeon, pounce on the local terrifying creatures, defeat them all, and finally conquer the boss. If you manage to do this, you will win. The more points you earn, the grander title you will receive.
The game «Dungeon Heroes: Second Edition» is being released in Russia for the first time in a new design and with improved rules. The second edition consists of 5 boxes — a base game with a lot of content and 4 standalone expansions featuring unique heroes, monsters, equipment, maps, dice, and more. Each of them is a standalone game with common rules. Additionally, it is a separate adventure that offers a completely unique gaming experience! And finally, you can mix components from several boxes to your liking, creating a variety of combinations and unique adventures!
