Catowl (Котосовы) in English is a mystical game about counting, logic, attention, and concentration.
With its help, children learn to instantly determine quantity without counting. This is a very dynamic and social board game, so it's interesting for all family members... to play!
 
In the game, cards are used, each featuring 7 characters, including cats and owls. Each character can be orange, blue, spotted, or striped. Their combination is different on all cards. Therefore, every time you need to count characters by one of the features (quantity, type, texture, or color), it requires serious concentration, attention, and the ability to quickly determine quantity. “Котосовы” help to easily and funly develop these skills in a family circle!
 
For toddlers who are just learning to count, there is a simplified version of the game. In it, they will need to count cats and owls with specific features. For older players (from 5-6 years old), the rules become more complex and exciting: here they will need to memorize the number of characters with certain features and count them quickly. In these variations of the game, cool wooden components are already used: totems and dice.
 
In the main version of the game, the rules are simple:

The totems are placed in the center of the table. The stack of cards lies face down. Players take turns.
The active player rolls the die with numbers and reveals the top card from the deck. The players' task is to quickly find a common feature of the animals whose quantity corresponds to the rolled number and grab the totem with the corresponding feature.
The player who first grabs the needed totem takes the winning card.
The winner is the player who collects the most cards!
