To inherit a house in a small seaside town is not so much a pleasant surprise for Polina, a young metropolitan actress, as an opportunity to escape from Moscow in order to finally breathe out and heal the wounds caused... by a sudden divorce. Summer, sea, incomparable southern beauty - it would seem, what could be better? But either the fog that creeps in from the river every morning stupefies the head, or the bizarre rituals that the city follows every day excite the imagination - one way or another, Polina begins to see what she should not see: suddenly slips into the appearance of seemingly ordinary people something strange, alien; here and there objects appear that cannot possibly belong to our world... And why is she constantly drawn to the island where a certain Padre Gaetano lives in an ancient fortress? Perhaps he will be the one who will have answers to the questions that the girl has more and more every day.
