Orthodox Prayer Book for Laity (Complete) According to the Church Statute

In this edition, the texts of all canons, orders, and prayer rules are presented in accordance with the Statute of the Orthodox Church and are intended for home prayer of the laity. Some differences compared to other prayer books are... explained by the fact that the prayers are placed in the form they are given in liturgical books for church services with a priest. We have tried to supplement the texts with all necessary explanations for performing the home rule, as required by the church statute. For example, the beginning and end of each canon are given, the Paschal canon is presented specifically for reading as a private rule, and not for church service. Our edition will help the praying individual learn the traditions, rules, and procedures of private prayer. Previously, such knowledge was passed on orally - prayer was learned together with learning the alphabet. Now these traditions are lost, and therefore we hope that our prayer book will be very useful to the Orthodox reader.
