The Windy Age. On Poetry and Poets

«We have witnessed the Windy Age, Lyra!» — exclaims Marina Tsvetaeva in one of her poems. By what measure can art be judged in the harsh times of revolutions, wars, and the collapse of ideals? For Tsvetaeva, there is only one answer: no allowances for the times, no discounts for the reader's opinion. Each poet is the measure of themselves and the respondent in the court of their own conscience.
