The 126 problems presented will help students better master the key topics of... the third year of training: breaking through defenses, attraction, intermediate moves, blocking, trapping pieces, king's snares, stalemates, outposts in the center, and x-ray tactics; deepen their knowledge in a range of endings: pawn endings, rook endings, queen versus pawns, minor pieces versus pawns. Within each topic, examples are arranged by increasing difficulty on each separate page. Answers to all the exercises are provided at the end of the collection.
