Survivor. The First Secretary of Griboedov

It is a rare fortune to become a friend and assistant to a great person, witnessing the events of their life that will later become history. This is exactly what happened in the 1820s for young Ivan Sergeyevich Maltsev when... he met Alexander Sergeyevich Griboedov.
Maltsev not only befriended this outstanding writer but also traveled to Persia with him, becoming the first secretary of the embassy headed by Griboedov. Yet, particularly fortunate for Maltsev is that he did not have to pay with his life for the opportunity to join the circle of friends of a great personality. As it is known, Griboedov tragically perished, becoming a victim of the massacre at the Russian embassy in Tehran. Other embassy staff also perished, and Maltsev ended up being the only one who survived.
This documentary novel by the renowned writer-historian Vladislav Bakhrevsky, "Survivor," is dedicated to these events.
