Introduction to the Study of China

The textbook "Introduction to the Study of China" covers the geographical location of the PRC, some events and facts from the history of China, traditions and customs of the Chinese, etiquette issues, the art of calligraphy, the history of the creation of hieroglyphic writing, problems of the Chinese family, symbols of Chinese culture, etc.

The structure of lessons, topics, and the selection of vocabulary and exercises, along with additional texts in Chinese and Russian, contribute to the practice and consolidation of vocabulary, translation skills, and the understanding of information about the country of the studied language.

The aim of this textbook is to expand students' knowledge of the study of China and to develop professional and general competencies of future sinologists.
