The Variability of the Sea

Ro is in crisis. She can't find common ground with her mother, her boyfriend broke up with her to join a mission to Mars. She spends her days working at the aquarium, where she is dumped with all the dirty... work, and at night she drinks to forget. Her best friend is busy preparing for her wedding, and the only person who understood her—her father—went missing many years ago... The only thing giving her stability in this chaos is the giant Pacific octopus Dolores. However, a wealthy investor wants to buy the octopus, and Ro certainly won't be able to resist the inevitable, finding herself on the brink of self-destruction. She will have to decide whether to continue drifting with the current, swaying on the waves of life, or to be brave and dive headfirst into the uncontrollable flow, allowing the sea—and the world around her—to change...
