It was “The Purple Network” that once kidnapped her son Lucas and presumably dragged him into brutal torture and murder. The novel begins with a visit from several police officers to sixteen-year-old Daniel, who is caught watching a “reality show” where a girl is brutally tortured. Their attempts to determine where the broadcast is coming from are unsuccessful, and ultimately the girl dies. It is possible that one of the killers on the screen is Elena's son. Will Elena Blanco be able to stop the organization and get her son back?
