Dark Secrets of 1950s Los Angeles

To find yourself on these dark city streets, you will need just two things: the base game "Crime Scene" and a smartphone. Add components from the expansion to the base game. Then download the special free app on your smartphone. Now you are ready to unravel the most mysterious and brutal crimes — alone or with friends. The expansion takes you into a new world, presents new characters, and teaches you how to intimidate suspects and break into houses.

What's new in the expansion:

Atmosphere reminiscent of a 1950s noir detective. The plots and art adhere to this style.
Role change — now you are a private detective, not a police officer.
New allies: a journalist, a forensic expert, a secretary.
New ways to conduct investigations: intimidation, breaking and entering, surveillance, bribery.
Instead of a sheriff — a client who has hired you. You will report to him.
Plot twists — even your allies can suddenly turn out to be victims of the killer or traitors. And you could be arrested for the murder you are investigating!
Influence on plot development — during interrogation, the suspect's behavior can suddenly change. If the villain learns that you have evidence against him, he will start talking differently. If you begin to intimidate the wrong person, your investigation may fail.
Timing is now important — bars and shops are closed at night, the characters have their own plans. Now you need to plan whom to interrogate and when.

How to play?

It's very simple. Open the app on your smartphone, choose a scenario — and the game will guide you through the plot. There are QR codes on the location, item, and character cards. Scan them to explore the area, talk to someone, or interrogate them, study evidence. In the end, you will need to submit a report — who killed, when, under what circumstances. Instead of an answer, you scan the cards again. If everything is correct, congratulations — you have completed one of several scenarios! Ready for the next one?

Who is this game for?

Detective games are a genre that brings together players with very different experiences and wishes at the table. But who can definitely be recommended this expansion?

Definitely for those who have already completed all the plots in the base "Crime Scene" and want more.
Fans of 1950s Hollywood and detective films. If this is about your friend, gather a luxurious gift for them — the base "Crime Scene" plus the "Noir" expansion.
For those who want to have an interesting time on the go. The app does not require a constant internet connection, so you can play even in places with no signal.
