"Butterfly Effect" is the first expansion for the game "Evolution. New World". New traits, new habitats, new scenarios.Goal of the GameThe winner is... the player who accumulates the most points for their surviving animals and the traits added to them by the end of the game. The game consists of six epochs, and each epoch consists of sequential phases of development, habitats, feeding, and extinction.

Setup
Mix the trait cards (with the lizard on the back) from "New World" and "Butterfly Effect". Do the same with the habitat cards and tokens from both sets.DevelopmentAt the beginning of the game, each player receives 6 evolution cards in their hand.They can play a card as a new animal, placing it face down on the table.Alternatively, by choosing one of the two traits on the front of the card, they can add it to an already existing animal. In "New World" with "Butterfly Effect" there are a total of 42 different traits. They help animals feed more efficiently, defend themselves, or attack.A player can have as many animals as they want, and each can have as many different traits as they wish. However, to survive, the animal needs food. It would also be good to protect it from potential predator attacks.

Habitats
Regular food (red tokens) and shelters from predators (green tokens) appear on the habitat cards. In each epoch, one of the habitats is replaced with a new habitat from the pile.

Feeding
Animals can take food and shelter tokens from habitat cards. To be fed, an animal requires 1 food unit.What should you do if there isn't enough regular food for all the animals?Some traits allow you to gain special food (blue tokens). The most common of these is the "Predatory" trait. A predator can attack other animals and eat them if they cannot defend themselves.

Extinction
Animals that remain hungry go extinct. The player draws new cards from the deck (2 cards plus 1 card for each surviving animal they have).Scoring at the End of the Game
