All of these are your game pieces. In the duel game 'Twilight of Venice', each participant can move any piece on the board, pursuing only their selfish goals. But what are these pieces and where... are we? The game takes place in Venice shortly before the carnival begins. The Great Doge – the ruler of the city – is invited to a festive evening at two noble and influential houses. One of these houses is yours, and you dream of winning the ruler's favor. The Doge accepts your invitation and sets off, but he does not suspect that someone from his loyal entourage has been bribed by the nobility. Those nobles will not hesitate to use any means to lead the ruler of the city to their patrons. The situation is complicated by a jealous lady, who possesses many of the Doge's secrets, secretly wandering through the dark alleys of Venice to meet with the conspirators. The cortege is moving, and the path becomes longer and more winding. Will you be able to unravel the intrigues of the court and deliver the Great Doge to your mansion?

Brief rules:

Before the carnival begins, the Great Doge, the ruler of Venice, receives invitations from two noble houses competing for his favor. When setting off to one of the invitees, the Doge is unaware that everyone in his entourage has been bribed by the nobility and is leading him where they will be paid the most. Besides them, his favorite is weaving intrigues against the Doge, capable, in a fit of jealousy, of destroying his entire reputation. ​
Taking on the role of representatives of the noble houses, you will use cards to guide the pieces of the Great Doge and his entourage to your mansion. But not only them. The Merchant roams the streets of Venice, able to quickly strike a deal with anyone, and the Harlequin, who has influence over absolutely everyone. Use their unique abilities and seize control of the city!
By playing cards from your hand in turns, you will try to pull the key character pieces to your side. If you succeed, the Favorite will take a step towards your mansion. A round ends if one of you brings the Favorite or the Doge to the cell of their mansion. That player is declared the winner and a new round begins. If one player has won both rounds or won one round while the second was a tie – they become the winner of the game. If both players have won once – play a 3rd round, which will determine the winner of the game. If the third round ends in a tie – the game is considered a tie. So, who among you will turn out to be the shrewder and more calculating?
