The Cadavers

The events of Alexei Polyarninov's new novel unfold in a world where thirty years ago a catastrophe occurred and cadavers—frozen figures of dead children—emerged throughout the country.

The main characters Matvey and Dasha embark on an expedition to the south of the country to study the mysterious anomalies.

During their journey, they discover how the presence of the dead has changed the everyday life of the living and how the living have gotten used to sharing space with the dead.
