The Art of Playing House

Grace is doing well. Thank you for asking! At seventy-two years old, she practices yoga for seniors, although it should be noted that she does so without much enthusiasm. She meets with her friends at restaurants — with a bit more enthusiasm. But the main thing is that she attends a miniature club, where she selflessly (with great enthusiasm!) glues together models of trains and railroads. When Grace meets her daughter Amelia and granddaughter Charlotte at her front door, who, to be frank, haven't shown her much attention, she realizes that she will have to recall the long-forgotten art of playing house. Grace, Amelia, and Charlotte will have to make a few bold (too bold!) decisions, open their hearts, and appreciate what it truly means to belong to those you love. This inspiring novel will warm the heart and touch the soul, reminding us of all the reasons people can be absolutely wonderful.
