Candy Shoes

On one of the quiet streets of Montmartre hill, Vianne and her daughters, Rosette and Anouk, found refuge. They live peacefully and even happily in a small apartment above their little chocolate shop. The wind, which in former times always... forced them to move from place to place, has calmed down - at least for a while. Nothing distinguishes them from the other inhabitants of Montmartre, and no longer hang red sachets with herbs at their door that ward off evil. But suddenly, their lives are invaded by Zozie de l'Alba, a woman in bright red, shiny shoes that look like candy, and everything begins to change rapidly... "Candy Shoes" by Joanne Harris is a new meeting with the characters of the famous novel "Chocolate," which was adapted into a Hollywood film of the same name by director Lasse Hallström (with Juliette Binoche, Johnny Depp, and Judi Dench in the lead roles), nominated for an Oscar in five categories.
