Jack London (1876?-1916) — American journalist and writer. London went through the grind of the gold rush, covered the Russo-Japanese War, and participated in the socialist movement in the United States. He used his life experiences to write gripping stories... and novels about human quests and the brutality of the northern wilderness — and became the first writer in America to make a good living from his work. The collection includes three stories by Jack London: "Love of Life," an anthem of human resilience and strength, "The Campfire," a tale of deadly self-confidence in extreme cold, and "The Mexican," a story of struggle in which losing a battle means losing the revolution. All stories are published in English without adaptation and abridgment.
