Jack London (1876-1916) — an American journalist and writer. London went through the mill of the gold rush, covered the Russo-Japanese War, and participated in the activities of the socialist movement in the United States. He used his life experiences... to write gripping stories and novels about human endeavors and the brutality of the northern wilderness — and became the first writer in America to make a good living from his work. The collection includes three stories by Jack London: "Love of Life," a hymn to human resilience and strength, "The Campfire," a story about deadly overconfidence in extreme cold, and "The Mexican," a tale of struggle in which losing the battle means losing the revolution. All stories are published in English without adaptation or abbreviations.
