Daiyu lost everything: her parents disappeared, and she was abducted and taken from China to America, a country filled with anti-Chinese sentiments, full of cruelty and despair. A tragic fate follows her, a legendary heroine after whom she is named. But who is Daiyu herself and what does she have besides the characters of her name?.. From a calligraphy school to a brothel in San Francisco and the mountains of Idaho, each subsequent step became a trial, each person a potential threat. From now on, Daiyu is forced to pretend to be other people and reinvent herself in order to survive and finally find her true self.
