Patchwork Ranch

Patchwork Ranch – is a new board game from the famous author Bruno Cathala, which uses mechanics from the popular game 'Patchwork Kingdom'. But this time, the legend of the game takes us to the Wild West, where its own... rules prevail. The game does not feature the usual domino tiles; instead, there are various squares (half-dominoes) that connect with each other like a puzzle, forming landscape sections that need to be placed on their own board (ranch). The ranch fits into a 5x5 square grid and includes a maximum of 12 sections (or 24 squares).

Heritage from the past. Just like in Patchwork Kingdom, players will score victory points by connecting identical landscapes together. However, in Patchwork Ranch, players have the opportunity to create their own domino figures by joining two halves of a square.

The puzzle has come together! When players create their domino tile, it can be attached to the starting river tile, with all subsequent dominoes needing to connect to existing dominoes and have matching sides. If a player places a domino with an image of a cow on their land, they can place a cow figure on that tile and then earn victory points.
Many bonuses. Additionally, some squares feature special symbols that allow the player to perform corresponding actions. For example, the circle symbol allows hiring an assistant who protects your cows from cattle rustlers. The skull symbol signifies drought.
