Young rebel Rosa has disappeared, her younger sister Clara spends... her days by the window, hoping to see her return. The girl observes an unfamiliar man entering the neighboring house. Clara knows very well that a lonely Elizabeth lives in that house, who is currently in the hospital. Clara promised her neighbor to keep an eye on the house, and most importantly - on the remaining tenant, a cat named Moses. The story, told from three points of view: Clara's, Elizabeth's, and Liam's - who has moved into the house - shifts the focus from one character to another, revealing new layers of dramatic events, past and present, love, bitterness, attachment, and alienation. A beautifully written, slightly unsettling, and very human novel, in which there are no raging passions, but there are many sincere and profound feelings.
