Cain

Suburb of Prague, the second half of the nineteenth century. Banker Antal Vojnich raises an illegitimate son, born from an affair with a gypsy woman. The boy, nicknamed Cain, after the first murderer, is torn by contradictions in a wild... and cruel world between his father's mansion and the camp. He feels a painful mix of contempt and admiration for both his father and the gypsies.
Kamiya, the arrogant leader of a gang of gypsy boys, consumed by envy, waits for the right moment to deal with Cain. He draws him into dangerous adventures, hoping either to break his will or to end his life. Meanwhile, Mr. Vojnich tries to dominate his son, trying to mold him into his heir.
Seeing a beautiful dark-eyed woman during the St. Martin's Day celebration, Cain steals a mother-of-pearl comb from his father's mistress: a gift for the stranger…
