as its numerous speculative interpretations fade into oblivion.
The aim of this edition is to attempt to present the pastimes of Lord Rama in their true grandeur. All the main events of the narrative have been preserved.
"Lord Rama is impeccably pure and always follows the commandments of religion. He has attained the perfection of self-realization. He is the champion of varnashrama-dharma. Indeed, He supports the entire universe. He is the conqueror of enemies and the sole refuge of His devotees. Lord Rama perfectly understands the essence of the Vedas and military arts. He possesses unwavering determination and exceptional memory. His knowledge is boundless. He is wise, compassionate, and fearless in battle. He is loved by all and impartial. He is unshakeable, like the ocean. He is steadfast, like the Himalayas, and powerful, like Lord Vishnu. He is beautiful like the full moon, patient like the earth, and in anger, He is like fire that consumes all creation. His wealth can rival that of Kubera, and His piety can match the piety of Dharma, the lord of righteousness."
Then Narada briefly described the pastimes of Lord Ramachandra. In conclusion, he said that now Lord Rama rules His subjects as the ideal king. He added that during Lord Rama's reign, nobody will be ill.
