The Great Patriotic War is going on. The peaceful life of the small Belarusian village of Malinki was interrupted suddenly and mercilessly: the village found itself on the path of the German landing and was completely destroyed by the Nazis. Miraculously surviving teenager Sasha, grandfather Nikita, grandmother Ulyana and several rescued children go to Andryushkin Island, lost among the forest and swamps.

A fascinating story by Sofia Radzievskaya will tell readers about the life of this small brave detachment.
