After the death of Turkmenbashi, high-ranking official Yagmур Purliyev fled Ashgabat and hid from the new Turkmen authorities in Moscow. Years went by. Purliyev settled firmly in Russia: he organized a profitable business, bought a luxurious car, and built a magnificent mansion in an upscale suburb of Moscow. He became a wealthy and respected man and completely forgot about his native Turkmenistan. But one fine moment, everything changed. Purliyev noticed he was being followed and concluded that the state security officers of Turkmenistan were after him again.
