Why does a person need God?

The main reason for disbelief among most people is certainly not a lack of religious arguments, as they usually don't know them, nor is it the presence of convincing arguments against God—there are simply none—but rather a reluctance towards God.... How did the idea of God arise? Perhaps it is someone's fiction that has infected all of humanity, or does He really exist and has been seen? Why have people always believed in Him? Some say that religion developed gradually due to various factors. In particular, it is suggested that at the dawn of human history, primitive people, not understanding the causes of various, especially fearsome natural phenomena, came to the thought of the existence of invisible forces, gods, who dominate over people. However, this idea does not explain the fact of universal religiosity in the world. Even against the backdrop of rapid scientific development to the present time, the overwhelming majority of Earthlings, among whom are many scientists and philosophers, still believe in the existence of a Higher Mind, God. Therefore, the cause of religiosity is not ignorance, but something else. There is much to ponder.
