Tom, along with his family, moves to a rural cottage. The house was acquired at a low price, not least because its previous owner committed suicide. And no one knows why. After just a few days, Tom realizes that, in addition to repairs and mold on the walls, he will have to face another problem: extremely unpleasant and openly hostile neighbors, an elderly couple named Mut. Soon, disputes and petty squabbles escalate into something much more sinister. Tom begins to suspect that the cantankerous old couple next door wields otherworldly powers, dark magic that is older than the strange forest surrounding them. And now Tom will have to fight not only for his own sanity but also for the life of his family.
