the first time. The atlas is clearly structured — it begins with fundamental sections explaining the physical principles of dermatoscopy, the features of the equipment, and the correlation of dermatoscopic signs and histopathological characteristics, and introduces the reader to the main principles of differential diagnosis of malignant and benign neoplasms according to a two-step algorithm. It then examines in detail the most commonly encountered non-melanocytic neoplasms, various types of melanocytic nevi, melanomas, and methods of their differentiation. Notably, there are very interesting sections dedicated to the features of the dermatoscopic structure of neoplasms in different anatomical zones, equivocal (ambiguous) skin neoplasms, exceptions to the two-step diagnostic algorithm, the application of dermatoscopy in general dermatology, and the observation of neoplasms in dynamics. The book will assist in mastering this non-invasive diagnostic method for both novice specialists and experienced physicians, and most importantly, will improve the quality of medical care for patients.
