Chocolate

The sleepy tranquility of a small French town is disrupted by the arrival of a young woman, Vianne, and her daughter. They appeared along with a noisy and vibrant carnival procession, and when the carnival was over, its bright joy... remained in Vianne's eyes, who opened her chocolate shop here. Somehow, she learns of the hidden desires of the townspeople and offers each one exactly the chocolate delicacy that makes them feel the taste of life again. "Chocolate" is a story about kindness and tolerance, about the confrontation of innocent temptations and rigid righteousness. The eponymous Hollywood film directed by Lasse Hallström ("Hachi", "What's Eating Gilbert Grape") starring Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp was nominated for an "Oscar" in five categories.
