In the dark magical forest at the boundary between life and death lives Yaga Obida — the wise keeper of Balance, guardian of the Forest and guide to the Chthon. No one is stronger in the entire Forest; she alone... cuts and stitches the fabric of existence. Her student Yarina, who is just beginning to comprehend the secrets of the Forest, cannot come to terms with the cruelty of the world they protect and does not want to become a Yaga. In the story of Yarina's coming of age, Slavic and Udmurt cosmogonic myths and legends intertwine. Will she be able to become a successor?
