The Girls

Boris Vasilyevich Bedny - a Soviet writer, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, held the position of a teacher at the Literary Institute, where he conducted seminars in the higher literary courses (among his students are many renowned writers, including Chingiz Aitmatov). The novella «The Girls» brought fame to Boris Bedny, translated into fifteen foreign languages and served as the basis for a film of the same name. The film «The Girls», shot in 1961 by director Yuri Chulyukin with Nadezhda Rumyantseva in the lead role, is well-known to everyone in Russia.
