Fathers and Sons

Fathers and Sons — the famous novel by Turgenev, which has become one of the most significant works in the history of literature about the relationship between generations. The disputes of the main character Yevgeny Bazarov, who calls himself a... nihilist and denies the common views on life, art, morality, and human nature, and his antagonist Pavel Kirsanov, an aristocrat to the core, constitute the main problem of the novel. However, the plot is rather built on the inner conflict of Bazarov himself. The hero, who just recently denied everything and everyone, who did not believe in love and mocked his friend, capable of tender feelings, suddenly finds himself passionately and fervently in love. And everything turns upside down — Bazarov finds himself unable to cope with love; it proves to be stronger than his most steadfast convictions.
